Today fundraising began for me! Yay! I know many people probably run into money problems along their way. So its good that solutions are found and shared. One of my solutions was the site/company IndieGOGO . They provide a nice streamlined way to put together fundraising campaigns. I do recommend this to anyone who needs to get funds together for their project, not just of a musical aspect, but anything from religion to dance.

Gig Finder Is Different
You can use any number of web sites to locate venues and clubs in a specific geography, but who’s to say that they are going to be receptive to your genre or your capacity requirements? With Gig Finder, you can locate Venues and Clubs that have booked Artists similar to YOU!
Gig Finder let’s you find opportunities based the following criteria:
- Geography (venues in a given area)
- Venue Name (if you know the name, we’ll find it)
- Where similar Artists to you have played (type in an Artist and we’ll show you the venues they’ve played).
- Similar Venues to ones you have played or you are familiar with (type in a venue name, and we’ll show you a list of venues that have hosted the same Artists).
They say everyone needs help sometimes. Surfing the net I found a site to support that need. It will help you get connected to other artist/bands from all over the world. http://musicianaudition.com
I would hate to write a song and then have someone take the credit for it, and I’m sure you would too. Its a good thing groups like ASCAP exist!
So you’ve got a lot of work building up and you wanna make some money off of it. The only problem, if your an independent artist, is that you lack a big label deal; you know, distribution and all of that. Well TuneCore is here to help. $39.99 will net you worldwide online distribution on sites starting from iTunes to Xbox Live, for a whole album.
In this day and time information is very valuable, so when I saw the details on Creative Commons licenses I thought I’d post. Enjoy! http://creativecommons.org/legalmusicforvideos
